Host Migration

Hey guys,

Over the next little while, Rachel and I will be changing hosts. We will then upgrade between MyBB versions afterwards. Mario Kart 7 Forum has been migrated already.

Why are you moving hosts exactly? Seems pretty fast atm for me.

indeed, from I was getting from the reviews Hawk Host is pretty damn awesome.

We've personally experienced a lot of throttling issues with HawkHost and it has actually slowed us down in the past. This time, we're moving to a server with a lot less clients so the server load should be a hell of a lot better.

ah right, personally I would consider moving to a VPS, you can get reasonable ones at linode, but they take a lot more configuration/ can cost a bit more than web hosting.

Yeah. We actually got two years of semi-dedicated at MDD for ~$190, which was 60% off. Otherwise, someone else recommended me Linode as well.

Depending on if you don't mind un-managed VPSes, ImmediateVPS are great if you're in the VPS market ;P
